Admission Policy

Welcome to The Damascus Road Foundation!


We are thrilled you are considering recovery and community with us. Below are the steps on how to get started. Each step must be completed in order.


STEP 1:  REVIEW INITIAL ADMISSION POLICY DETAILS


(Look over the Admission Criteria, the Exclusion Criteria, and the Program Fees information below to determine if you are a good fit for our program.) 


STEP 2:  COMPLETE THE "ONLINE APPLICATION" BELOW

                

(We will use this information to reach out to you for the next steps.)


STEP 3:  REVIEW ALL THE INTAKE FORMS BELOW

                

(Review ALL the intake forms below - especially the House Rules, the Drug Testing Policy, and the Financial Agreement. Please review these forms BEFORE the Intake Call as these forms will be thoroughly discussed during that call.)


STEP 4:  INTAKE CALL 

               

(After submitting your online application, our team will contact you for an intake call or Zoom meeting. We'll answer your questions and go over details about availability, eligibility, details on the intake forms, and what to expect during move-in.)


STEP 5:  COMPLETE AND SUBMIT ALL INTAKE FORMS


STEP 6:  MOVE-IN AND ORIENTATION 

               

(Once approved, you'll be scheduled for move-in and orientation. You'll tour the home, meet your peers, and receive information about chores, curfew, and community expectations.)


STEP 7:  ONGOING SUPPORT


(Welcome home!  We provide a range of services to help you rebuild your life and achieve your goals.  You are now part of The Damascus Road Foundation family - where we grow, recover, and thrive together.)

STEP 1:  INITIAL ADMISSION POLICY DETAILS


ADMISSION CRITERIA


May include, but is not imitated to:


*   Be admitted voluntarily.

*   Be 18 years of age or older.

*   Completion of a 28-day In-Patient Treatment with documentation from a 

     verifiable source.

*   Be medically stable. Any program participant requiring higher levels of care 

     may be accepted, provided the program participant is seeking services to 

     meet these needs with outside professional help. 

*   Have adequate control over their behavior and assessed not to be 

     imminently dangerous to self or others.

*   Express a desire to recover from an active SUD and / or other mental health 

     issues. 

*   Be assessed as medically appropriate and free of any long-term illness that 

     requires isolation from others.

*   Have the capacity for active participation in all The Damascus Road 

     Foundation activities and responsibilities. 

*   Be able to meet personal activities of daily living needs without assistance.

*   Additional criteria may include health screening (example COVID-19).

*   Must be willing to obtain a drug and alcohol assessment from a local 

     licensed provider and attend IOP, OP, and / or Relapse Prevention as 

     suggested by resulting evaluation. 

 

EXCLUSION CRITERIA 


*   Have a clinical diagnosis that meets the criteria for a higher level of care

    (e.g., acutely psychotic, a danger to self or others, etc.)

*   Have severe permanent cognitive impairment that would prevent the 

     applicant from participating in scheduled peer-led, peer-driven, social model 

     house activities. 

*   Have ongoing medical conditions, which require a higher level of monitoring 

     and / or care that cannot be provided by The Damascus Road Foundation. 

*   Due to location or funding source restrictions some recovery homes may 

     limit the participation of those with certain criminal convictions (such as sex 

     offenders, arson, and violent offenses).


PROGRAM FEES


*   Program fees are $750 / month. We can help you identify funding 

     opportunities. 

*   One-time, nonrefundable intake fee is $300.

*   Debit cards and / or Zelle are the preferred payment method. We do NOT 

     accept cash, checks, or credit cards. 

*   Monthly supplies fees not to exceed $20 / month per member for 

     consumable items (e.g., paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, cleaning 

     supplies, laundry detergent, etc.).
